Mark Evans joins Cancer Research UK as Board Trustee

In addition to his post-executive “fruit salad” of advisory, Trustee, coaching, NED and Chair roles Mark is joining as a Trustee to Cancer Research UK - the biggest charity in the UK.

In many ways this is a continuation of the work Mark has done since 2016 as Founder of the Sprintathon which has raised £960k to date and will pass the £1m milestone this year (places still available for 22nd May at Battersea if you fancy running a small part of a sub-2-hour marathon to raise money for CRUK).

Mark's most recent executive role was Managing Director for Marketing & Digital on the ExCo at Direct Line Group. He drove the resurgence of Marketing in the wake of their IPO away from RBS. Prior to that, Mark held senior roles at HSBC and Mars.

Mark commented “I’m truly honoured to join Cancer Research UK as a Trustee. It really is such an impressive organisation. Having been a fundraiser for a wee while it is wonderful to be able to make an even bigger contribution in the fight against cancer.”
